‘Beginning’ of Hyundai Cosmo

Hyundai Cosmo, a joint investment company founded by Hyundai Oilbank and a Japanese oil refining company, Cosmo Oil, has started its business by taking over the original BTX business, including production facilities and sales network in February 2010 from Hyundai Oilbank.

‘Takeoff’ of Hyundai Cosmo

We have launched our #2BTX since 2013 in order to contribute to improving profitability and national competitiveness by responding to petrochemical demand increasing in Asian countries, such as China and India, and by exporting. In add, we also newly launched PXP and CRU process since 2022, it has allowed us to secure production facilities with a 1,460,000 tons annual capacity of Para-xylene and 370,000 tons of Benzene. With such facilities, we plan to be the petrochemical company with international competitiveness worthy of our name.
Hyundai Cosmo will put tireless endeavors for our corporate development based on improved profit structure, facility and marketing competitiveness in the near future.
